Since 1937, the AAA Diamond program has served as the most widely recognized and trusted hotel and restaurant rating system in North America.
Once again this year, the Vidanta Resorts have a big reason to celebrate. We have been awarded the prestigious AAA Four and Five Diamond ratings denoting a superior level of excellence in luxury, attention to detail, range of amenities, level of hospitality, service quality, and overall guest experience.
Achieving this level of distinction in the hospitality industry involves an extensive process.
For all resort properties that apply for this designation, AAA’s North American travel experts perform unannounced inspections of the resort’s exterior, all public areas, and a selection of different types of guest rooms, evaluating each space to assess the property’s alignment with AAA’s exacting standards.
Based on their depth of experience and training, AAA inspectors assign each property a score following the inspection that correlates with a level of Diamond designation.
Only 6% of all AAA-rated hotels and restaurants receive the Four Diamond designation—and just one-half of 1% receive the Five Diamond designation.
