Vidanta Gourmet: Crafting Excellence in Every Bite

In the heart of our sprawling Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort lies a realm of culinary alchemy: the Chocolate Factory. Here, amidst the hum of state-of-the-art machinery and sweet, rich aromas, we craft the essential elements that elevate every dining experience across our destinations.

Our journey began in 2019 with a vision to create a dedicated space to produce industrial-grade, yet artisanal-quality, products tailored to our exacting standards. In 2020, we took our first steps toward realizing this dream after extensive material testing, sourcing 100% Mexican cocoa and green coffee beans, and importing advanced equipment from Italy and France.

By the end of 2020, the Chocolate Factory was operational, buzzing with the energy of expert technicians and passionate artisans to deliver a final product of unparalleled quality.

Simultaneously, we set our sights on expanding our offerings. And so, in early 2021, the Preserves Factory was born, paving the way for a new line of artisanal jams and preserves and marking the start of Vidanta Gourmet, our in-house brand devoted to crafting excellence in every creation.


50TH ANNIVERSARY CHOCOLATE BARS
As part of our five-decade celebrations, Vidanta Gourmet proudly presents a special edition of our artisanal chocolate bars, each wrapped in a label rich with the vibrant tapestry of Mexican folklore.

The Story Behind the Label
According to Aztec legend, the god Quetzalcóatl descended to Earth and fell in love with a princess named Tula, whom he married. Quetzalcóatl created a paradise filled with precious stones and lush nature to celebrate their union. Among his creations was the cacahuaquahitl, or cocoa tree, surrounded by seven creatures: the jaguar, flamingo, quetzal, spider monkey, coati, blue butterfly, and macaw. These guardians protected the tree and its valuable legacy, offering humanity the delicious gift of chocolate.
