The Soul Behind Vidanta's Spirits
Ana Miriam Montes, Resort Sommelier, leads our commitment to excellence at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta, which is evident in every bottle we offer.
Ana's journey at Vidanta started ten years ago when Vid a Vid, Vidanta's wine store, opened at La Plaza. Then, she broke ground as the first sommelier at Bistro Bleu when this practice was uncommon for regional beach resorts. From there, she evolved to Tramonto and began training maîtres d' and servers before returning to Vid a Vid as manager. Now, she has steered the wine cellar and accompanying wine program at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta for a year and a half.
Ana is not just about pouring a glass. She loves sharing her knowledge and insights with colleagues, helping guests find wines they love to enhance their vacation experiences, and searching the world for the best bottles.
The ‘generations of happiness’ we work to inspire are not just our guests but also our colleagues. It fills me with joy when guests return to relate their experience with a wine I suggested, remember what they learned from their previous stay, are regulars at tasting events, or even request that I come to the restaurant to help them make the most of their meal.

La Cava isn't your average cellar—it's a paradise for anyone who loves wine. It's a three-level space housing our impressive collection of 75,000 bottles. La Cava embodies our dedication to preserving and presenting wines of exceptional quality, from the traditional cellar on the underground first level to the exclusive tasting rooms and training facilities on the second and the meticulously curated refrigerated area on the third.
The Back of the House Tour and Wine and Beer Tasting events offer a look into this incredible space, where every corner whispers stories of vineyards and vintages.
