Since 2020, Vidanta has used this industrial-grade facility to craft high-quality gourmet chocolate and confections using advanced equipment from Italy and France, 100% Mexican cocoa and green coffee beans, and the talents of passionate artisan chocolatiers. As part of the Vidanta Gourmet initiative, in which we also produce jams, preserves, coffee, pasta, and other delicacies on-site, the chocolate factory is just another way in which Vidanta demonstrates our commitment to excellence in every creation we undertake.
The next time you discover a chocolate on your pillow, marvel at the intricate chocolate sculptures at La Plaza, or buy chocolates at the Gourmet Market, you’ll know exactly where they came from and the heart that was poured—and stirred—into each bite.
Want to get a taste of where the chocolatey magic happens? Vidanta offers an exclusive Heart of the House tour, which takes guests behind the scenes of the resort through our extensive underground tunnel system to provide deeper insight into the massive scale of our operations. During a stop at the chocolate factory, guests get to see the production process up close and, of course, enjoy samples. Tours run weekly and reservations are accepted via the resort concierge or the Joy Squad.
