The Delia Morán Vidanta Foundation’s Educational Center is celebrating a decade of extraordinary contributions to children’s lives.
September will mark the 10th anniversary of The Delia Morán Vidanta Foundation’s Educational Center as a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to underprivileged children of the Riviera Nayarit community surrounding Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta. In those ten years, a lot of amazing programs have been launched, and services have been offered. That’s why we’re taking you through these crucial efforts to share all that this Educational Center does daily.
“Almost a decade of wonderful experiences” is how director Isabel Arana describes her work. “Every day, I am thankful for the extraordinary gift of witnessing how our work crystalizes in a beautiful legacy of education and love for our children, their families, and all involved in this significant cause.”
After the challenges brought by the recent pandemic, Arana is happy to report that the Educational Center is 100% up to speed. All the students are back in their classrooms, supported by a staff of 53 collaborators. The mission and purpose of the foundation are to offer boys and girls with limited resources the opportunity to receive the education, support, and resources to capitalize on their full potential and transform the world.
Their curriculum comprises nearly 80 class subjects in areas like academic learning, sports, arts, and nutrition. At the Center, children receive psychological and nutritional guidance within the frame of their main principles and values. Additionally, they offer parent workshops, theme weeks and days, sporting events, family reunions, and activities designed to support the community.
Participating in the foundation’s center is like entering “an oasis of happiness,” according to a former student now starting his naval engineering college degree. The center’s activities and atmosphere contrasted with the harsh conditions in which he and his family lived and gave him a boost to go on. “It’s an indescribable joy and a great honor to witness his evolution,” says Arana.
Many families have also shared throughout these years how their daily lives and family interactions have improved because of the workshops and activities in the program. “Even among our instructors, there are uncountable stories of how our life perspective has changed and how we now greatly value everything life offers us,” recalls Arana.
