Mercado México

23 September, 2016 Written by Digital
Inside our new indoor and outdoor market at the heart of Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta!
Find the perfect accessory, trinket, or souvenir.
The children's section of Mercado México is full of embroidered clothing, toys, and more.

When you visit Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta, make sure you find time to fully explore Mercado México, our delightful new market on the third floor of La Plaza, across from our French restaurant.

Our buyers traveled all around Mexico, to destinations far off the beaten track, to bring you an exclusive selection of products that can’t be found anywhere else.

At Mercado México, you’ll find a wide range of dining and shopping options. Hungry?Mercado México offers a variety of local foods, from tamales to street corn to ice cream and Mexican candies. Looking for a souvenir to take home? Here you can browse unique ceramics, linens and embroidered items, and jewelry, as well clothing and goods for both children and adults. And of course, you can’t forget to make a stop at the gallery! The space is filled with stunning handmade art from artisans across Mexicans. From small watercolors to sculptures to large paintings, we have something exquisite that will meet your needs.

Need a gift for a foodie friend? Why not bring them a molcajete? This traditional mortar is made from volcanic rock carved into a concave shape and used for the preparation of sauces and other dishes. Unchanged in design for centuries, it’s an excellent addition to any kitchen. Or if their tastes run more to the sweet side of things, consider a molinillo. This is a unique utensil used to prepare hot chocolate and other drinks by dissolving the chocolate and creating foam. It’s simple to use—simply roll the handle back and forth between your palms until you’ve achieved the desired result. Made from a single piece of wood with multiple moving rings, the molinillo is a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship.

And of course, you can’t forget to make a stop at the gallery! The space is filled with stunning handmade art from Mexicans across the country. From small watercolors to sculptures to large paintings, we have something exquisite that will meet your needs.

There’s something here for everyone, so no matter your budget, you’re sure to find something that delights. Live marimba music in the evenings brings a vibrant atmosphere to the dynamic setting. AtMercado México, we’ve brought the best of Mexico to you, so that you never have to leave the resort to find something exceptional.
