Her brand specializes in “slow fashion,” eschewing shortcuts to instead highlight the skill sets of four 7th-generation weaving artisans. The loom they use dates back to 500 BC; Lopez calls the art of using this ancient technology “a dance of balance and strength.” The process is intricate, demanding, and very time-consuming, requiring a unique combination of strength and mathematical precision. These artisans bring a centuries-old expertise straight into the future, and their talent has no greater showcase than the custom design Jaline has conceived exclusively for Vidanta.
